ON THE ROAD....

The long week at Imaging USA is over...  Phoenix was so fun (and WARM!!) I got to see so many old friends, and made some new ones, too.  That's what it's all about!!  The programming was great, as usual, and the trade show outstanding.  But the best part is connecting with other crazy photographers.  This is the most stressful, outrageous, sleepless time of year for me.  Yet it's the most rewarding.  I'm so very honored to get to be such a big part of both Imaging USA and WPPI.  I've said so many times "this is my family".  And it really does feel like a family reunion at these conventions.  

I got to bring along my boyfriend, Dan, this week and he fit right in.  Thanks to everyone who made him feel welcome - you are all wonderful and amazing - and a huge thanks to Dan for all of your hard work and making me smile all week.  (I don't know that he understood what he was getting himself into!!)

We came home to snow and ice and below 0' temps!!  It's just now finally above freezing. 

This coming weekend I will be presenting a full day program at the Nebraska state convention.   

The following weekend (Super bowl Sunday weekend!!)  I'll be teaching the Don Lohnes Class at our Iowa Convention.

I'm also really excited (and will be gearing up for the next couple weeks), about presenting again at WPPI.

I'll be teaching a Master Class on Monday, Feb. 16.  I will be cramming a TON of info into two hours...  Seriously.  Two hours?  I'm used to teaching full day programs and week-long work-hops!!  They are going to have to kick me out.

It's Sunday morning, and our first full day of Imaging USA is over...  it always feels like a family reunion to me!

Yesterday Allison Rodgers and I taught the Marketing and Promotions program yesterday.  

(review here)  We had such a fun bunch there - and it was so great to hear all of Allison's awesome ideas!!  She and Jeff are doing so many great things in their studio!  

We had a great day and really appreciated all of your awesome comments and love... 

 

IMAGING USA

TOMORROW!  I leave for Phoenix, for IMAGING USA.  Is it really already here?  If you are a photographer and coming out, please stop by and say hi. 

I will be teaching a marketing class (pre-convention business class) all day Saturday.

Sunday, I will be speaking in the WHCC booth from 10:45-11:00 and in the SMS booth from 3:30-4:30

Monday is the Boutique Studios Program  from 9-12.30 - I will have a table area outside of the program room - stop by!!

Tuesday I'll be speaking in the WHCC booth, the Bella Grafica Booth, and the ASP booth in the trade show.  Stay tuned for times!!

Little Angels Calendar

holiday giveaway

Yes, it's well past Christmas Eve and I haven't posted the winner of our giveaway.  I was very touched by all of your stories and the people that you told me about.  Each person who entered will be receiving a gift from me in the next week! 

This post has been really hard for me to make.  I made the phone call to our first choice winner, and I am so sad - she passed away.  :( 

This has really hit home for me the importance of images and taking the time to have your family photographed together.  I know all photographers have stories they can tell, but you just never know if today is your last day with the people you love.  Make the most of every day - hug lots, forgive quickly, smile, make your family feel important, forget the small stuff...  and take pictures. 

The second winner that we chose was contacted, and the person who entered her had entered her in several photographers giveaways (since there were many of us doing this!).  She won another session and portraits! 

The third person we chose has asked to remain annonymous for reasons that I won't write here.  It will be a very special session for me to photograph.

Thank you to all of you who entered.  There is really no way to choose a "winner".  All of the stories are beautiful and everyone needs images of their family.
