    playin tag. i'm it!

i've been "tagged" by photographers Jenifer Samaha www.jenifersamaha.com  and Teri Fode  www.terifode.com

and the rules are... now i have to tell you 8 random things about myself that you may not know.

    here goes.

    1. i was born in detroit, michigan then grew up in waco, texas.  i've been in iowa for almost 10 years now, but still consider myself a texas girl!

    2. i hate to type using capitol letters of any kind.  it really slows me down.  i try sometimes, but i have to pay such close attention and it's such a waste of time!  sorry if it annoys you.  i can't help it.

    3. i'm not into shoes.  i don't even own very many.  i'm almost always barefoot.

    4. i married the first boy i ever kissed.  (unfortunately we didn't stay that way)  :(

    5. i owned a hair salon for 10 years.  most people don't know that i started barber college when i was 14, and had my liscence when i was 16.  i opened up my own salon at 18.

    6. i always have to have some sort of project going.  i'm not truly content unless there is a bit of chaos in my life. (and i'm admitting it! ha)

    7. i love red wine

    8. i have a book contract, which was one of my goals. i'm writing a book on business/marketing/management for photogrpahy studios. the bad news is...  i'm behind on my deadline!!!  (really behind)

now to tag... JULIE KLAASMEYER!  www.jklaasmeyer.com

    trash the dress revisited

I got a call from the hs senior version of "trash the dress".  It's a "drown the gown" website.  Check out our images and more featured there http://drownthegown.wordpress.com/2007/09/03/lori-nordstrom/#comment-96

They featured my images of Jayci, and another Senior "trash the dress" session (below)

By the way, we are now adding a "trash the dress or trash the tux (or suit)" session to any senior session for $100.  OR, if you've already been photographed, come for a "trash the tux/dress" session for just $100.  We want your fun ideas (prom dress or tux/suit and sports, prom dress or tux/suit and diving, prom dress or tux/suit and a motorcycle, prom dress or tux/suit and your puppy... what's your thing?)  , your already worn dress or suit and  YOU.  You could be featured next!

    words from the www.drownthegown.com  site:

You’ve endured 12 (or more) years of hard work. You’ve spent many late nights cramming for exams. You’ve spent many weekends finishing up homework instead of hanging out with friends. You have arrived. This is your Senior Year. It all comes down to this. It’s 12th and Life…enjoy it while you can. Go to Homecoming, Go to Prom, Walk down the Aisle to get your diploma- and when it’s all said and done, get the memories that you deserve. Get Trashed!

No, we aren’t talking about getting wasted, we’re talking about taking the material things that represent this milestone, and release some pure deep energy by drowning the gown, trashing the tux, and destroying the dress. While you’re at it, get some great memories to hold on to by hooking up with an artistic photographer to create some stunning art together. These are your memories- make them count.

    sounds like fun to me!!!

    who's in??

    :)
